Tony Mulligan, the director of Public Loss Adjusters is a personal friend who visits me for fishing trips. I had a legal problem that Tony helped me with recently.

He looked at my insurance policies, advised I was covered, and helped me with the emails to the insurer. With Tony's help, not only did the insurance company help settle the legal issue, but we also received all the money we had spent on solicitors for this case.

Tony saved us 10s of thousands of dollars. He knows the insurance system backwards, as do all his staff. I could not recommend Tony and his team more highly and can't thank him enough for all his help!

I had help from Public loss Adjusters about 4 months into a claim after a house fire on which all my house was affected by smoke damage and was uninhabitable. I was being completely messed around by the insurance company who were a total nightmare to deal with.

I was completely stressed and felt very vulnerable as a single parent trying to deal with everything on my own, Sedgwick and Direct Group. The loss adjusters appointed by the insurance company couldn't have cared less and gave conflicting information. They would not reply to me and refused to repair or replace lots of damaged parts of the house and contents.

I literally felt I was fighting for every penny but getting nowhere. It was degrading and traumatic in the aftermath of the fire. Michael Williamson from Public Loss Adjusters attended a couple of meetings with the insurance company and was absolutely excellent at fighting my corner to make sure I got the right settlement to repair my house and replace contents.

For example: After months of struggling on my own and getting quotes etc, I was made an offer by the insurance company to repair my house but it was nowhere near enough.

But with help from PLA who reassessed the claim themselves and negotiated with the insurance company, I received nearly 3 times the original offer which was what was actually needed.

Michael was appointed to deal with my claim and overall I am certain I would never have got things settled fairly on my own. It was a relief to have someone experienced and knowledgeable on my side.

In addition to the meetings, Michael made lots of calls, sent lots of emails and submitted several complaints when necessary to try to resolve things.

He did put a lot of work into it and I feel the commission was well earned (PLA charge 10%). In my case, it was much better to pay commission on a fair settlement than to accept the woeful offer from the insurance company.

It took 16 months all in all so not a quick process. If you are unfortunate enough to have a fire, be prepared that it will take a lot longer than you may think to settle. Insurers seem to try to delay as much as possible to wear you down so you will accept a pay-out that is less than you need out of desperation.

I would like to think not every person has such a bad experience making a claim but unfortunately, it does seem to be quite common.

I cannot thank Andy enough for handling our recent insurance claim after a burst kitchen pipe flooded our kitchen He took control and dealt with every aspect of our claim with our insurers. He was present at the house when the insurers sent their inspectors out to view the damage.

He made every aspect of the case stress-free for myself and his knowledge was super. I would like to thank Emma for her proactive nature and her hard work with the administration side of the case.

I cannot thank Michael Williamson enough for handling our recent insurance claim after being flooded with stormwater. He took over and dealt with every aspect of our claim with our insurers. He made a very stressful experience a lot easier to deal with and our claim was settled within a month.

I can't recommend Michael Williamson PLA enough. Initially, I was skeptical about using a firm of loss adjusters to help with my claim, due to the amount of scams around atm. My concerns were absolutely unfounded and it was the best decision I have ever made.

After 3 months of what felt like hell being at 'war' with my insurance company. I was extremely stressed and pulling my hair out and feeling like I was getting nowhere.

Thankfully, was lucky enough to be put in contact with Michael Williamson and I haven't looked back. He is extremely kind, competent, experienced and knowledgeable in his field. His previous experience in the insurance industry has served him well to help people like you and me.

After a plumbing leak under my floor, I was finding negotiations with my insurance company rather daunting. After contacting Michael Williamson at PLA the pressure was lifted.

He was patient and charming but most of all very knowledgeable. His long experience in the industry was such an asset that allowed him to pursue my claim down to the last detail. His persistence and patience were immeasurable and led to a good settlement.

I contacted PLA following a water leak in my bathroom. We had no working toilet upstairs, which was a nightmare having three young kids. The tiled floors and walls were damaged and the ceiling below collapsed! Andrew Price was highly recommended to me by a friend.

He dealt with everything and even managed to arrange for the contractor to get a temporary toilet in before Christmas. The insurer initially applied the wrong excess and after Andrew checked our policy it was reduced by £500 when he spoke to our Insurer. If you have a serious claim get this guy on your side! The office staff (Emma) was great as well when I needed to speak to her.
